Cookout 2015 FlyerThe 4th Annual Huami Magazine Community Cookout
June 13, 2015
Barber Park – Greensboro, NC
To live and thrive in a community, one must have the necessary resources and support from others to do so. This includes family and friends, as well as businesses and organizations. At one time or another, everyone will need the help of others to make it through challenges and difficult situations. Huami Magazine has devoted itself to being a tool, resource and helping hand within our community. Our focus is to serve and partner with others who share the same compassion.
The Huami Magazine Community Cookout will take place on June 13, 2015 at Barber Park, located at 1500 Dans Road, in Greensboro, North Carolina. Just like in years past, this is an absolutely free event for everyone that is involved. Our overall goal is to feed the homeless community within the city of Greensboro. Every participant is privileged to enjoy a day at the park without the burden of any costs. This community wide event is made possible by the donations (monetary and material) from businesses and organizations involved, who all understand the importance of giving back and helping others in need.
This is the fourth consecutive year for the community cookout. In 2012 we were able to feed nearly 1500 participants that includes a great portion of the homeless community within the city of Greensboro. In addition to providing them with a day of fun, live music, and entertainment, The Huami Magazine Community Cookout provides them with free medical and dental check ups, and other information designed to enhance and empower their lives. In 2013 and 2014, we saw the event grow to new levels as we were able to feed nearly 2000 individuals. This year, we expect and even larger crowd and that is why we need your help.
To successfully pull this event off, we need donations and sponsors who can devote their time and resources on this day. Our needs cover everything from food, entertainment, park and security management and volunteers. Monetary donations are preferred but any support is greatly appreciated and we thank you in advance for opening up your hearts and giving back to those who are less fortun
