Carolyn Rudolph and Betty Williams are the driving forces behind Sanctuary Beginnings Wedding and Event Planners, a client based wedding and event planning service that provides full and partial services to individuals who need assistance in planning special day events. With a list of reputable vendors and excellent negotiating skills, these professionally trained consultants are on standby and ready to coordinate as much, or as little of your day as you desire.

In 2006, Rudolph started the business in Charlotte. In 2010, Williams joined and an extended office was opened in Raleigh. They both adorn many qualifications and certifications that makes their company one of the most sought after in the state.
Rudolph was born in Clarksville, Tennessee and reared in Boston, Massachusetts. She relocated to Charlotte in 1998. She earned a wedding and event consultant certificate through Penn Foster Career Training school. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee and a Associate in Science degree in social science from Roxbury Community College in Boston, Massachusetts. She has also worked as a wedding consultant for David’s Bridal and has voluntarily participated in wedding and event planning for over 20 years. Her current affiliations include National Association of Women Professionals (NAWP) – Charlotte Chapter, Event Planners Association, Wedding Professionals Network Group (WPNG), and the Academy of Wedding and Event Planning, and Victory Christian Center.

Williams was born in Bennettsville, South Carolina. At a young age, her family migrated to Boston, Massachusetts. She relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina in 1997. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts Studies from Shaw University. At an early age she exhibited creative and organizational skills while planning special events for family and friends. She possess’s excellent communication skills which have allowed her the opportunity to work with all types of people throughout the years. While working at Shaw University, she has been involved with event planning, facility rentals, assisting annual planning and coordination of baccalaureate services, commencements, homecomings and school openings.

Sanctuary Beginnings cares and can provide alternatives. We have an extended list of resources and impeccable negotiating skills. They offer three wedding packages, The Ultimate, Gold, and Day Only. The Ultimate package provides complete coordination of a wedding where all the details involved in planning a wedding will be handled by the consultants, including the leg work. Listed are just a few of the services included in this package are: preparing customized budgets, schedules, timelines and checklists, assisting with selecting color schemes, themes and styles, booking ceremony venue, caterers, florist, musicians, photographers and transportation. Also, they assist with directing rehearsals and the wedding day ceremony and coordinating hotel accommodations for out of town guests. Consultants also negotiate with vendors in an attempt to stay within the bride’s budget; all while the bride can sit back relax and wait for her special day.

The Gold also known as the “Partial” package, offers the client the option of exchanging or re-negotiating some of the services listed in the “Ultimate Package,” while keeping within the bride’s budget. The Day Only service is for the bride who will do their own full coordination of planning a wedding and will only need support for the weekend or one day. Services include rehearsal, ceremony and reception support, overseeing vendor payments, arrivals and deliveries, oversee gift collections and boutonniere and corsage pinning. Their Event Planning segment includes full or partial services for an anniversaries, baby showers, corporate functions, reunions or retirement parties.

Rudolph says she loves the freedom to apply her creative abilities and to share her knowledge to someone who will listen. Most importantly, she loves the smile on their client’s faces. “When we receive those very special notes thanking us for turning dreams into a reality,” Rudolph says this makes their job worthwhile. Williams says she loves to just be a part of a memorable day – over and over and over again. “The best feeling of all is witnessing that special day and knowing that you had a hand in making a dream come true. This is truly a wonderful feeling,” Williams states.

Both Williams and Rudolph state that their goal is to provide great customer service. “It is our philosophy to do so. We are dedicated in making special days one to remember.
